The married couple Henri ( Guy Saint-Jean ) and Florence Massonneau ( Anna Gaylor ) live in a large villa with their five daughters. While the eldest, Catherine ( Nicole Chaput ), is about to get married to her fiancé Bernard ( Patrick Lancelot ), the second eldest daughter, Martine ( Dominique Labourier ), falls in love with Paul Legrand ( Jean-Pierre Ducos ), the youngest's Spanish teacher Daughter, Valérie ( Bernadette Robert ). The 16-year-old Sylvie ( Claude Jade ), who has to tease everyone and also insists on getting a horse , is the most worried . This horse belongs to the friend (Jean Perrin) of her older sister Juliette ( Françoise Godde ). But when their relationship is over, Sylvie kidnaps the beloved horse. When he wreaks havoc in the living room at night, he is supposed to disappear, but Sylvie arranges a lottery win. Now calling the horse Turlutu her own, Sylvie soon finds new challenges to drive her father to despair. Her loyal accomplice is the Spanish housemaid Carmen (blonde and accent-free: Nadine Servan). With the English exchange students Dorothy (Marie Privat) and Emily Graham (Hélène Callot), she disappears from the provincial nest to Paris to cause a stir there too. Catherine soon finds her way back to the Massonneau after separating from Bernard, Juliette has a crush on the handsome Charles ( Richard Leduc ) and, last but not least, Maman Massonneau learns that she is pregnant again. While the joy of life rages in the villa, a police superintendent (Raoul Delfosse) calls for the finale. In the last of the 60 episodes, the police storm the house in order to arrest everyone there without exception. Whether this will succeed with the lively bunch of seven family members and a dozen friends, leaves the end open.

Production and publication

The series was shot in 1967 in the Épinay studios, as well as in Vésinet and Paris .

Because of the theater engagements of the leading actresses Claude Jade (as Frida in Henri IV at the Théâtre modern ) and Dominique Labourier (as Lorette with Richard Leduc in L'Été in Royan ), the series was filmed in two seasons and two years later aired as a full season.
