Anna Gaylor (born May 13, 1932 in Paris ) is a French actress .

Life

Trained at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique , Anna Gaylor made her stage debut. After roles in TV productions and supporting roles in two films by André Hunebelle , as Louisette in Liebe, Frauen und Paris (1956) and as Geneviève in Junge Rosen im Wind (1957), she played leading roles in two English productions: alongside Stephen Boyd as Lise in the war drama Seven Thunders (1957) and as Thea in Ken Annakin's Merciless Jungle ( Nor the Moon by Night , 1958).

After leading roles in French films - including Juliette in Les lionceaux (Die treacherous voice / Bittere Frucht der Liebe, 1960) - and in the Danish film Min kone fra Paris (1961), Anna Gaylor played Viviane in Alain Jessua's The Reversed Life in 1964 . It was the beginning of a long collaboration with Jessua, whom Gaylor married.
