Leslie Burton
Leslie Burton ( Leslie Aubrey Burton; born October 15, 1882 in Heswall , Merseyside , † June 10, 1946 in Scarborough ) was a British hurdler who had specialized in the 400-meter distance .
At the London Olympics in 1908 , he finished fourth in 58.0 s.
He set his personal best over 440 yard hurdles of 48.2 s (equivalent to 47.9 s over 400 m hurdles) on September 7, 1901 in Manchester .
His daughter Elaine Burton became known as a politician.
