Leslie Jean Egnot , ONZM (born February 28, 1963 in Greenville , United States ) is a former New Zealand sailor .
successes
Leslie Egnot took part in two Olympic Games in the 470 dinghy . In 1992 in Barcelona she started with Janet Shearer , with whom she finished the sailing competition behind Theresa Zabell and Patricia Guerra in second place and thus won the silver medal. At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , Shearer and Egnot did not get past 16th place. At world championships she won the silver medal with Shearer in Tsu in 1989 . In 1995 Egnot led the yacht Mighty Mary at the Citizen Cup , the first yacht with an all-women crew in this competition.
Her younger sister Jenny was also an Olympic sailor. In June 1996, Egnot received the Officer's Cross of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her services in sailing . You have a child.
