Leuke ( ancient Greek Λεύκη ) is a nymph of Greek mythology .

She appears only in a commentary by Servius on Virgil's Eclogae , in which she is presented as the daughter of Oceanus . She is kidnapped by Pluton for reasons of love into the underworld . At the end of its natural life, it is transferred to the Elysion as a silver poplar ( ancient Greek ΛεΛκη ) . Heracles wreaths himself with the foliage of the poplar when he returns from the underworld after completing his task.
