Lewis Ridge is a rugged, ice-covered and 23 km long mountain ridge in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Transantarctic Mountains , it extends east of the Holland Range between the Morton Glacier and the Hewitt Glacier and ends on the Shackleton Coast at Richards Inlet in front of the Ross Ice Shelf .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1966 after Commander George H. Lewis of the United States Navy , the captain of the USS Burton Island during Operation Deep Freeze in 1964.
