Lexicon of anarchy

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Lexicon of Anarchy is a project to create a reference work on the subjects of anarchy and anarchism . It was published from 1992 by Hans-Jürgen Degen in the publishing house Schwarzer Nachtschatten (Karlheinz Schreieck ( Bösdorf )). The encyclopedia was designed as a loose-leaf edition, which provided the opportunity for constant updating, their individual contributions in enclosed DIN A5 - ring binder folders could be collected (with alphabetical dividers and index). The publication took place, after an initial basic set of around 150 pages, in supplementary deliveries in approximately the same scope at intervals of 1 to 2 years. The fifth - and final - addition was shipped in November 1998. The complete edition at that time comprised around 700 pages and filled two folders.

With the advent of the Internet, the Lexicon of Anarchy was continued as an online lexicon . The main initiator of the online version of the lexicon is the publisher and publicist Jochen Schmück , who runs the portal database of German-speaking anarchism (DadA), under which the lexicon appears.

The Lexicon of Anarchy will continue to be completed jointly by different authors , but each entry is written by a single author who is responsible for the content. The authorship consists of people who have been identified as experts in publications on the subject.

From October 2018, Maurice Schuhmann will be in charge of the Lexicon of Anarchy as editor in cooperation with the previous editorial team as part of a project relaunch.
