Siegbert Wolf (* 1954 in Grebenhain / Hessen ) is a German historian , political scientist and journalist specializing in the history of the 19th and 20th centuries, Jewish social history and social criticism . He is the editor of the Gustav Landauer edition.

Life

Siegbert Wolf did his doctorate with Lothar Gall on the history of liberalism in Frankfurt am Main before the First World War. He then published introductory monographs on Jean Améry , Hannah Arendt , Martin Buber and Gustav Landauer. Since 2008 he has published a selection of at least twelve volumes by the anarchist Jewish social philosopher Gustav Landauer . He also edits works by forgotten authors such as Maria Regina Jünemann and Samuel Lewin . Siegbert Wolf is a founding member and board member of the Martin Buber Society. He was co-initiator of the Gustav Landauer memorial that was inaugurated on June 29, 2017 at the Munich Forest Cemetery. Siegbert Wolf lives in Frankfurt am Main.
