Maxim Moschkow (born October 13, 1966 in Moscow )

Lib.ru , also Maxim Moschkows Library ( Russian Библиотека Максима Мошкова , Biblioteka Maxima Moschkowa ), is the oldest digital online library on the Russian Internet.

Moschkow has been running his library since November 1994. Users mostly post scanned ( OCR ) and then revised texts. Although this relatively open access sometimes produces errors and omissions, the now widespread use of the database justifies this acquisition concept .

Sometimes the library is called the Russian Project Gutenberg . She has received several Russian prizes, for example the 2003 Russian national internet prize ( Runet Prize ).
