Like Torches is a metalcore / pop-punk band from Stockholm . The group was founded in 2005 under the name You Ate My Dog .
history
The group Like Torches, which was founded under the name You Ate My Dog , consists of the musicians Daniel Kärn ( guitar , vocals ), Jonathan Kärn (vocals), Erik Thyr (guitar), Zakarias Faleij ( bass ) and Jimmy Brunkvist ( drums ). The band is signed to Snapping Fingers Snapping Necks (SFSN), a Swedish indie label from Stockholm.
The debut album Like Torches was produced by this label and released worldwide. It received it from the international trade press, including from The Pit , Alter The Press! positive reviews.
In September 2010 the group played at the Moshpit Open Air. In April 2011 You Ate My Dog toured Sweden and Germany. Aim for the Sunrise accompanied the group on their Sweden tour . In Germany, the group was a special guest on the We Butter the Bread with Butter tour . A tour of the United Kingdom followed in June of the same year.
The band renamed itself in the meantime in Like Torches . In February 2013 the band released their second album Keep Your Head High in Europe via SFSN . Later on, Kick Rock Invasion signed for the Japanese market. The album was produced by Ryan Key and Ryan Mendez of Yellowcard . The band toured the United States with Yellowcard.
