Aim for the Sunrise was a metalcore band from Munkfors, Sweden . It was founded in 2009 and disbanded four years later.

history

The metalcore band Aim for the Sunrise, founded in Munkfors in 2009, consisted of the four musicians Daniel Larsson (vocals, guitar), Anton Wiklund (vocals), Nicko Edlund (drums) and Ricky Karlsson (guitar). The EP The Bigger Picture was released in October 2009 ; Hope on my own.

In April 2011 the group started together with You Ate My Dog on the Sharkbait Tour through Sweden. The concerts took place in Karlstad , Eskilstuna , Uppsala , Linköping , Stockholm , Örebro , Kungsbacka , Lund and Växjö . This tour was also accompanied by Promise Divine , Heading Back Home , Drive Like Red, and Miss Grace . In the same year, the single Defender, Defeater was also released .

The Swedish indie label Panic & Action released the band's debut album. The album was produced by Dino Medanhozic, who had already recorded the album Causing a Scene by Her Bright Skies .

The group has played with The Chariot , Anberlin , Blindside , Iwrestledabearonce and The Eyes of a Traitor , as well as at the Bring the Noise Festival , YEAH! Beach festivals and the Frizon Festival .

In October 2012 the album No Kings, No Chains was released . In March 2013 the band announced their breakup on Facebook on the grounds that they no longer felt the necessary passion for this type of music and their scene and that the flame in them had gone out. A month later, members announced on Facebook that they were working on new music, but that it didn't sound close to Aim for the Sunrise.
