Purple pause

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lila Pause is a Milka branded chocolate bar .

The product was introduced in 1986. With the advertising slogan and the advertising music "The most beautiful breaks are purple!", The purple break became very popular in the 90s. They were available in almost all the flavors in which the core product, Milka chocolate, was offered: "Grain crisp", "Nougat", "strawberry", "caramel", "yoghurt crisp", "white crisp" and "Alpine milk". The “yoghurt crisp” flavor has been available for some time now as a large “crispy yoghurt” bar.

After "Lila Pause" lost ground on the chocolate bar market, the product was relaunched . Among other things, the recipe and packaging design including the "Lila Pause" lettering were changed and the Lila Pause more than chocolate bars from the Milka bars delimited. In the end there were only the varieties “Purple Pause Nut” and “Purple Pause Strawberry Filling”.

By choosing the name or the slogans we combined the presentation of the chocolate bar as a snack with the Milka brand, which since 1973 purple colored Milka cow (the color is the most important element of the Milka brand family is and was in the 1990s protected as a color trademark ).

In 2007 production and sales were discontinued. Lila Pause is still available in Switzerland.

Since April 2011 the original purple break in the flavors “strawberry yoghurt”, “nougat cream” and “caramel” has been on the German market again, initially announced with “for a short time”. After the test phase was completed, the varieties “strawberry yoghurt” and “nougat cream” were again included in the fixed range, and “caramel” was discontinued.
