Ulrich Herter
Ulrich "James" Herter (born March 24, 1952 in Reutlingen ) is a German musician , singer , songwriter and music producer .
biography
In 1977 Ulrich Herter started his musical career as a member of the band Zomby Woof . Together with his friend Hubert Kemmler , who founded the Hubert KaH formation in 1982 , he ran the Atlantis recording studio in the building of the former Emil Adolff factory in Reutlingen in the following years .
In 1982 Herter wrote the NDW hit Sternenhimmel with Kemmler , which reached number two in the German single charts and gold status. Furthermore, Herter and his friends Joachim "Daddes" Gaiser (* 1956; † 2004), Thomas "Stibbich" Dörr (* 1963) and Chutichai "Schuti" Indrasen landed another NDW hit under the name Kiz with Die Sennerin vom Königsee , who took third place in the German single charts in 1983.
In 1985, Herter and Dörr founded the pop duo Two of Us . Her greatest success, Blue Night Shadow , rose to number five in the German single charts. In the following years Herter worked as a composer for Nicki and Sandra ( Innocent Love reached the top 20 of the single charts in seven countries) and as a producer for Fools Garden .
His well-known works also include the advertising music for the Milka - advertising / radio spot by Kraft Foods Germany: The nicest breaks are purple . In 1994 Ulrich Herter relocated the Atlantis recording studio to Reutlingen- Sondelfingen , where he still lives today. He still works in the music and media industry .
