Die Sennerin vom Königsee ( sic ! ) Is a song by the German band Kiz from 1982. The song is considered a classic of the Neue Deutsche Welle .
Origin and content
The text comes from Joachim Gaiser († 2004); the music of Ulrich Herter . The song is about the dissolute life of a dairymaid who lives at the Königssee - written differently on the single cover than on the Königsee album cover . Joachim Gaiser had the idea of incorporating yodels into the song because nobody had ever done that before.
Publication and reception
The single was released on CBS in 1982 . The 7 "version of the piece is 3:45 minutes long. The song Mein Herz ist klein is on the B-side . A 4:34 minute long version was made as a 12" maxi with the same B-side released. The single reached number three in the single charts in Germany as well as in Austria and Switzerland . The song also appeared on numerous Neue Deutsche Welle compilations .
The dancer at the group's performances was Ilona Magyar , now Hubert Kah's wife . She alternately stood very still on the stage and danced wildly, changing the dance style at the snap of a finger from Gaiser. The song is considered a "one-hit wonder" by Neue Deutsche Welle. Kiz appeared with the song on January 31, 1983 in the ZDF hit parade , but could not place in the top three. On January 21, 1984, however, an appearance on the special program The Super Hit Parade - Hits of the Year '83 followed . In January 1983 Dieter Thomas Heck announced the group as follows: “For many colleagues, the next track ended up in the completely wrong drawer”, namely with folk music. “Think - Neue Deutsche Welle.” Another TV appearance took place with caution, music! , also on ZDF, on March 7, 1983.
