Sternenhimmel is a song by the German musician Hubert Kah that was released as a single on September 2, 1982 .
Origin and reception
Hubert Kah wrote the music together with Ulrich Herter , the text he wrote together with Claus Zundel . The song was produced by Claus Zundel, Theo Werdin and Gary Katz.
Starry skies were included on Hubert Kah's album I come . It also appeared as a 7 "single and a 12" max single on Polydor . On the B-side there was always the song go dancing . The single made it to number two in the German single charts and was in the charts for 22 weeks. It reached gold status in 1983 . The song also appeared on numerous Neue Deutsche Welle compilations .
Hubert Kah appeared with the song twice in the ZDF hit parade ; the band was voted in first place by TED vote on November 8, 1982 and was therefore allowed to sing the song again in the following edition on December 6, 1982.
In 2004 a Hamburg Neue-Deutsche-Welle-Musical was played. a. Miss Menke and Peter Behrens took part, named after this song. In 2010 Hubert Kah recorded a bilingual (Serbo-Croatian / German) Ska version of Starry Sky as a guest singer together with the Düsseldorf Balkan band Trovači .
