Nicki , bourgeois Doris Andrea Hrda (born November 2, 1966 in Plattling , Deggendorf district ) is a German pop singer and composer .

Life

Nicki grew up with three brothers and two sisters in Plattling, Lower Bavaria. In 1982 she was discovered by Gog Seidl at a talent competition in Landshut and received a record deal. 1983 brought their first single Servus, mach's guat , a hit in Bavarian dialect, the first success. Pop star Sandra came up with the stage name "Nicki" . Nicki stayed true to her dialect and was also successful with numerous other titles.

The hit music of the 1.52 m tall singer also contains elements from rock , calypso , Motown - soul , synth pop and country music . Nicki's greatest hits were composed by Harald Steinhauer and written by Helmut Frey . Nicki appeared in various television music programs - including solo or with a band 35 times in the ZDF hit parade (1984 to 1996) - and gave a number of concerts. In 1996 she made her debut as a presenter on the show The Big Request Concert . In 1999 Nicki became the patron of the German Children's Cancer Foundation.

After that it was a little quieter for Nicki. She retired from show business and devoted herself to family life. In September 2006 she had a comeback with her new album: I give gas again . It includes a cover version of the German ESC contribution No No Never by Texas Lightning in Bavarian dialect with the title Nie im Leben .

In December 2006 she ended her comeback for health reasons. All dates, including a tour planned for 2007, have been canceled.

In 2008 Nicki celebrated her 25th stage anniversary and announced that she wanted to work in the music business again. On June 1, 2008, she was awarded the ARGE Media Prize 2008 as part of the Bavarian Queen's Day in Lalling . She received the award for her musical work and her social commitment. Nicki donated the 2000 euro prize to severely disabled five-year-old Niko, who urgently needed a lift. Nicki and the band El Matadors organized a benefit concert for Niko on September 14, 2008 in Deggendorf.

In 2013 the singer celebrates her 30th stage anniversary and on the occasion she gave two anniversary concerts in Plattling. In November 2013 she was awarded a Smago Award.

On September 13, 2015 Nicki took over the external moderation on Sat.1 Gold in the program Goldschlager - Die Hits der Stars . The shooting took place on August 6th at the Marienberg Fortress, in the Hofgarten of the Residenz and in the vineyards in Würzburg.

Patrick Lindner & Nicki released their duet Baby Voulez Vous on January 5th, 2018 .

Private life

Nicki lives with her husband and their two daughters (* approx. 2001 and 2003) in Plattling. During the ARD program Das Sommerfest am See with Florian Silbereisen on May 31, 2014, it became known that Nicki had married her partner two years earlier, on December 3, 2011.
