Stefan Schwander is a German techno - musicians and DJ . He published under a variety of pen names including Antonelli Electr. , Antonelli , A Rocket In Dub , Repeat Orchestra and Rhythm Maker as well as, together with Michael Scheibenreiter from the Phoneheads, Swimmingpool .

life and work

Schwander has been producing electronic music since the mid-1990s. His music is mainly to be assigned to the genre of minimal techno , but also takes up influences from disco music ( Giorgio Moroder ), new wave , dub and abstract electronica .

The first commercial release was the EP Handclaps in 1997 on the Düsseldorf label Stewardess. Schwanders mainly publishes on his own record label italic, which he founded in 1999 with Marc Knauer in Düsseldorf. The label has been based in Berlin since 2008 .

Together with the musicians Alexander Chamrad-Seidel, Jochen Hennes and Ralf Linden he founded the group The Bad Examples , which released three albums between 1999 and 2007 on the independent label Ata Tak . With the Cologne musician Jörg Burger he published in 2001 under the project name Pop Up .

Schwander continued to deliver remixes for Egoexpress (Next) , Station 17 ( purple break / Who dances not limp), Phoneheads (Solex) and Quarks (You can't escape me) .

Although he produces under a variety of pseudonyms, Antonelli Electr. his most important project. During his live performances, Schwander produces the visuals as well as the music.

Stefan Schwander lives in Düsseldorf.
