Lim Kek-tjiang

Lim Kek-tjiang , ( Chinese  林克昌 , Pinyin Lín Kèchāng , born March 21, 1928 in Borneo , Indonesia ; † June 15, 2017 in Melbourne , Australia ) was a Sino- Indonesian violinist and conductor , brother of Lim Kek-beng, Cellist, Lim Kek-han and Lim Kek-tin (both violinists).

He studied with his three brothers a. a. at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Conservatoire de Paris and was considered one of the most famous and respected conductors in his country. Lim Kek-tjiang was professor for violin at the leading music academy in Beijing and chief conductor of the Beijing Radio Symphony Orchestra and after his time in China moved to Hong Kong on various tours . He was director of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and from 2002 to 2004 first director and conductor of the Taiwanese Evergreen Symphony Orchestra . He also published numerous sound carriers with his recordings.
