Limba Ram

Limba Ram (born January 30, 1972 in Saradit , Rajasthan ) is an Indian archer.

Limba comes from a village in the Rajasthan district of Udaipur . He represented India at three Olympic Games in archery: in 1988 he was 39th and 20th with the team, in 1992 he reached 23rd place in the individual and 16th with the team, and finally 63rd in 1996 and 14th with the team.

At the Asian Games in 1992 Limba Ram equalized the existing world record over 30 meters and became Asian champion.

Limba has competed internationally since 1987 after setting an Indian record. The archer belonging to the Ahari tribe was awarded an Arjuna Award in 1991 . In 2012 he was honored with the Indian State Order Padma Shri .

Limbu Ram lives impoverished in Jaipur .
