Lina Rotter

Lina Rotter born Hamann (born September 4, 1892 in Frankfurt am Main ; † August 4, 1975 there ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a former member of the Hessian state parliament .

After attending elementary school, Lina Rotter worked as a commercial clerk and was the confidante of the female employees of the Frankfurter Konsumverein. In 1910 she became a member of the Central Employees' Association and in 1912 of the SPD. She was an honorary member of a child protection commission, and after 1918 she also worked as a leader in the women's movement and in the 'Kinderfreunde' group. After the seizure of power by the Nazis from 1933 to 1945 they had their political activity interrupt. From 1948 to 1950 she was a city councilor in Frankfurt am Main.

From December 1, 1950 to November 30, 1958, she was a member of the Hessian state parliament for two electoral terms. In 1954 she was a member of the 2nd Federal Assembly .
