Lina Stadlin

Lina Stadlin-Graf (* March 20, 1872 in Speicher ; † November 19, 1954 in Beckenried ; resident in Speicher) was a Swiss lawyer from the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden .

Life

Lina Stadlin-Graf was a daughter of Johann Graf, farmer , constitutional councilor and cantonal councilor , and Anna Katharina Frischknecht. In 1897 she married Hermann Stadlin. She grew up in Speicher and probably attended the seminar in St. Gallen . From 1891 to 1892 she studied law at the University of Zurich . From 1892 she studied in Bern . She was one of the first Swiss lawyers to receive her doctorate in 1895. Stadlin edited the free-spirited Zuger Volksblatt under the name of her husband from 1902 to 1920 and produced articles specifically for women. Her husband lost his post as director due to the near collapse of the Swiss Volksbank . The couple then moved to Beckenried. Stadlin took over legal advice from 1933.
