Linas Balčiūnas
Linas Balčiūnas (born February 14, 1978 in Jonava ) is a former Lithuanian cyclist .
Balčiūnas took part in the 1996 and 2004 Summer Olympics for his country . In 1996 he retired from road races . In 2004 he was eighth in the team pursuit with his team and ninth in the single pursuit as a soloist .
In road cycling , Balčiūnas was a member of UCI cycling teams from 1999 to 2008 and won various sections of international stage races during this time . One of his greatest successes on the track was winning the Omnium title at the 2005 European Championships.
