Linda Widwey Andersen (born June 15, 1969 in Tønsberg ) is a former Norwegian sailor .
successes
Linda Andersen started at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona in the boat class Europe , in which she took first place. With 48.7 points she was Olympic champion ahead of Natalia Vía Dufresne and Julia Trotman . Four years later she competed in Atlanta in the 470 dinghy with her sister Ida , with whom she finished the regatta in tenth place. At World Championships in 1988 in Nieuwpoort in Europe, she won the silver medal.
Andersen received the Fearnleys olympiske ærespris and the Aftenposten gold medal for her Olympic success in 1992 .
