Natalia Vía Dufresne Pereña (born June 10, 1973 in Barcelona ) is a former Spanish sailor .
successes
Natalia Vía Dufresne took part in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona in the boat class Europe and won the silver medal in this. With 57.4 points she took second place behind Linda Andersen and in front of Julia Trotman . Three years later she secured the bronze medal at the World Championships in Auckland . She then switched to the 470 dinghy , with which she started at three other Olympic Games . She finished the 2000 Games in Sydney with Sandra Azón in sixth place. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , she won the silver medal with Azón after completing the regatta thanks to 62 points behind the Greek and ahead of the Swedish boat. In 2008 she did not get past tenth place with Laia Tutzo in Beijing . In the 470 dinghy she won two more bronze medals at world championships with Sandra Azón: 2000 at Balaton and 2001 in Koper . In 2003 she also became European champion.
Her older sister, Begoña Vía Dufresne, was also an Olympic sailor.
