Begoña Vía Dufresne Pereña (born February 13, 1971 in Barcelona ) is a former Spanish sailor .
successes
Begoña Vía Dufresne took part in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta in the 470 dinghy . Together with Theresa Zabell , she became Olympic champion after being in the lead after ten races and winning the final medal race . With a total of 25 points, they finished the regatta in first place, ahead of the Japanese and Ukrainian boats. In addition, Vía Dufresne and Zabell were joint world champions in Toronto in 1995 and again in Porto Alegre in 1996, and in 1994 they won the European Championships in Röbel .
Her younger sister Natalia Vía Dufresne was also an Olympic sailor.
