Jennifer Margaret "Jenny" Armstrong , AOM (born March 3, 1970 in Dunedin ) is a former New Zealand - Australian sailor .
successes
Jenny Armstrong participated in three Olympic Games . In 1992 she started in Barcelona for the New Zealand team in the boat class Europe and in fourth place narrowly missed a medal win. After moving to the Australian Association, she competed at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney in the 470 dinghy with Belinda Stowell , with whom she won four of the regatta's eleven races. With 33 points, they took first place in front of the US and the Ukrainian boat and thus became Olympic champions . Four years later they did not get past 14th place in Athens . At world championships Armstrong won the silver medal together with Stowell in 2000 and 2001.
For her Olympic success, Armstrong received the Australia Order Medal in 2001 .
