Elise Maree Rechichi , AOM (born January 11, 1986 in Perth ) is an Australian sailor .

successes

Elise Rechichi took part in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and 2012 in London in the 470 dinghy . In 2008 she and Tessa Parkinson took second place four times in the first ten races and won one of them, so that they qualified for the medal race of the ten best boats. They only finished ninth in this, but that was enough for first place. Rechichi and Parkinson were Olympic champions ahead of the Dutch and Brazilian boats . Four years later she also reached the medal race with Belinda Stowell , but ultimately only finished seventh overall. At world championships Rechichi won the bronze medal together with Parkinson in 2008.

In 2009 Rechichi received the Australia Order Medal for her Olympic success . She is married and has two kids.
