Tessa Parkinson , AOM (born September 22, 1986 in Perth ) is an Australian sailor .

successes

Tessa Parkinson took part in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing in the 470 dinghy . Together with Elise Rechichi, she took second place four times in the first ten races and won one of them, so that they qualified for the medal race of the ten best boats. They only finished ninth in this, but that was enough for first place. Parkinson and Rechichi became Olympic champions ahead of the Dutch and Brazilian boats . At world championships Parkinson won the bronze medal together with Rechichi in the same year.

Parkinson received the Australia Order Medal for her Olympic success in 2009 .
