Linda Freeland (born October 19, 1967 in Queens , New York ) is an American soul, house and gospel singer .

Career

Growing up in a family of musicians, she sang gospels and spirituals in preschool in her parish church in Queens. In adulthood, after appearing on American stages with the band Bakerstreet, she moved to Germany and worked as a studio and live singer. In Europe she sang in the dance productions “Hot Stuff” (House Charts Italy Peak 46, Dance Charts Poland Peak 7) and “Deeper Love” (German Dance Charts Peak 32), and she was involved in the studio with the group “Rappers” against racism ”and their hit“ I want to know what love is ”(Media Control Charts Germany Peak 18).

In 2008 Mike Staab produced her single "If you want my Love", the planned album production could not be completed because of Staab's sudden death. Tours with gospel groups have taken her to Germany, Poland, Spain, Benelux and Switzerland.

In August 2015 her maxi single "Smooth Operator" was released, which is in the German DJ Charts DDJC (Peak 22), German Dance Charts DDC (Peak 48), the German DJ playlist DDP (Peak 28), the German DANCE 50 (Peak 23) and the German 44 House Charts (Peak 10).

In August 2016 her new maxi single "Tell it To my Heart" was released.

Freeland lives near Frankfurt am Main and works as a live and studio singer.
