Linda Van Tulden (born April 11, 1952 in Mortsel , Belgium ) is a Belgian film producer .

Life

She began working as a producer in 1983 with the short film De laatste dagen van brood en wijn , a production by Willem Thijssens CineTé. Van Tulden worked with Thijssen several times in the following years, so both wrote the scenario for the documentary The Future of '36 , which they also directed. For Nicole Van Goethem's short film Een Griekse tragedie , Van Tulden and Thijssen received an Oscar as producers in 1986.

In 1988 Van Tulden founded her own production company DeFamilieJanssen cvba (DFJ), which she ran with animator Geert Van Asbrouk and - until 2007 - her daughter Maité Thijssen. The Antwerp-based company devoted itself to the development, production and co-production of feature films, documentaries and series, primarily in the animation sector, and was involved in animated advertising films. Among other things, DFJ was not involved in the coproduction of Tobias Totz and his lion and wines, Germaine . The last project so far by DFJ was the film adaptation of the animated film series WinneToons , WinneToons - The legend of the treasure in Silbersee , which was made in co-production with ASL Hamburg.

Van Tulden is the mother of two children; she lives in Amsterdam.
