Linda William ' (born November 20, 1964 in Villejuif as Linda Christiane Williams , also Linda William's ; † March 28, 2010 in Orvieto ) was a French pop singer who was mainly active in the second half of the eighties and in the early nineties .
Career
Linda Christiane Williams was born in 1964 in Villejuif , a suburb of Paris . Her first single was C'est pas la peine , released by Ariola in 1985 . In 1988 Traces followed on WEA , their future label until 1990. The song was composed by the Italian producer Romano Musumarra , who previously had chart successes with Jeanne Ma , the lyrics were by Jean-Patrick Capdevielle . With Traces , Linda William 'reached number 21 in the French charts in 1989. An album of the same name was released in late 1989, and another single was released with L'autre soleil (Ha-Ha) . She was also nominated for the Victoires de la Musique music prize as the best new female discovery. Two further singles were released from the album Traces in 1990, Rebelle and Boulevard des rêves . However, Traces would remain Linda William's only chart success.
In 1992 the song Chien & loup was released and in 1993 Un coeur qui asked , which was her last output as a solo singer.
Linda William 'was married to her producer Romano Musumarra and had a son with him. She committed in March 2010 in the Italian Orvieto suicide .
