Location and facilities
The center is located at Prerower Platz 1–3 in the center of the district; 800 employees are employed here. It is located on Falkenberger Chaussee and near the Hohenschönhausen train station . The center has a sales area of around 25,000 m² on a total of three levels. It has 800 parking spaces on two levels.
history
In the same place was previously the trading house , a smaller shopping center in the panel construction typical for this area , which was opened on September 26, 1985 and served the then newly founded district of Hohenschönhausen as a goods and service center.
In April 1994, the demolition work began in favor of the new center, which was built between July 6, 1994 and October 26, 1995 in just under a year and a half. The Linden-Center was deliberately designed and built by ECE Projektmanagement GmbH & Co. KG as an inner-city counter-proposal to the "buildings on the green field" in cooperation with the municipal facilities and rented out according to sectors. As a social institution, the Anna Seghers Library enjoys preferential conditions. She organizes exhibitions on historical topics.
