Linth glacier
The Linth Glacier was a glacier in Switzerland .
The glacier joined by the last ice age Linthtal on the Zurich Lake Valley to the Limmat ago. During his retreat, Lake Zurich , among other things, formed .
The following glaciers and firne can be described as remnants of the Linth glacier:
- Claridenfirn with the Spitzalpefirn , at the southern foot of Clariden , Bocktschingel and Gemsfairenstock ,
- Sandfirn , in the depression between the rear Spitzalpestock, Chli Tödi and Tödi ,
- Front and rear Rötifirn on the flanks of the Tödi,
- Bifertenfirn , in the valley between Tödi, Piz Urlaun and Bifertenstock ,
- Griessfirn and Limmernfirn , east of the anterior and posterior discs.
- Lattenfirn , on the western flank of the Muttenstock, southeast of the Muttenalp.
