The Lipowska Hut ( pl. Schronisko PTTK na Hali Lipowskiej ) is located at an altitude of 1262 meters in Poland in the Saybuscher Beskids on the Hala Lipowska alpine pasture on the eastern slope of the Lipowski Wierch peak . The area belongs to the Ujsoły commune . The hut is named after the Hala Lipowska alpine pasture .

history

The hut was founded in 1932 near the later Rysianka hut by the Beskydy Association as Dr. Stonawskihütte opened. During the Second World War, the hut was taken over by the Wehrmacht and it was from here that partisan activities in the surrounding forests were fought. The Nero order to blow up the hut shortly before the Wehrmacht withdrew was not carried out. In 1946 the hut was poorly restored and reopened to the public. The hut has been owned by the PTTK ever since . In the 1970s the hut was expanded and renewed. It is not far from the main Beskydy hiking trail .
