Palenica is a 1343 meter high mountain in Poland and Slovakia in the Saybuscher Beskids . It is located in the main ridge of the Beskydy Mountains.
The summit is on Polish and Slovak territory. The Beskydy main hiking trail leads over the summit .
The slopes are overgrown. The name Palenica refers to a fire and slash and burn in the past. There are several peaks in Poland that bear this name.

The main European watershed between the Black Sea ( Danube ) and the Baltic Sea ( Vistula ) runs over the mountain . Several hiking trails lead up the mountain.
