Liquorice is a song by the American rapper and singer Azealia Banks . It comes from her first EP in 1991 and was written by her in collaboration with Matthew Cutler. On December 4, 2012, the song was released as the second single from the EP, but not as successful as the previous single 212 . The single was released by the Interscope and Polydor labels , with which Banks was under contract at the time.

Music video

The music video for Liquorice was released on June 14, 2012. It was shot by Rankin and Banks was styled by Nicola Formichetti. The video shows Banks riding a horse through the desert as a cowgirl. In another scene, Banks wears clothes that allude to the American flag.
