Slay-Z was made available as a free download on March 24th. The video for the single The Big Big Beat was released on April 26, 2016 on Vevo and Youtube and shows Banks in scenes in the city of New York .
The mixtape was released on July 12, 2017 under their newly founded label Chaos & Glory Records and has since been available on iTunes and Spotify . In addition, the track list was expanded by a song. The song Crown was released as a promo single by Banks on Soundcloud in spring 2017 .
Reviews
Britt Julious of Pitchwork wrote that the mixtape wasn't as good as Broke With Expensive Taste , but it was still a typical Banks mixtape.
HotNewHipHop's Craver Low wrote that Slay-Z is similar to '90s rap music. He also wrote that the song Big Talk with Rick Ross was a real catchy tune.
