Nina Sky is a reggae - duo consisting of identical twins Natalie and Nicole Albino (* 13. March 1984 in Queens , New York City ).

Life

Nina Sky are descendants of Puerto Rican immigrants and grew up in the boroughs of New York City , especially in Queens .

The name Nina Sky is formed from the first two letters of her first names Ni cole and Na talie (Nina) and the word Sky (sky) as her striving for the top of the music business ( "The sky is the limit" ).

Services

They became known in the summer of 2004 for their song Move Ya Body , which is based on the then extremely popular Riddim Coolie Dance , which was produced in 2003 by Cordel & Everton Burrell.

Their music is shaped by influences from almost all genres, the following should be emphasized; Pop , hip-hop , rap , R'n'B , dance , reggae and rock .

Nina Sky also deal with the new genre of music reggaetón - since their feature with NORE by Oye mi canto , where artists such as Daddy Yankee (in the more well-known of the two remixes) and Tego Calderón also participated. In 2005 they could be heard with the reggaetón artist Tony Touch in his track Play That Song (on the album Reggaetony ), also with Sean Paul in the song Connection (on the album The Trinity ). With the reggaetón artists Yaga y Mackie they recorded the song Bailando for their album La Moda , the reggaetón track Ladies' Night with Ivy Queen and the reggaetón track Más maíz with Fat Joe .

At the beginning of August 2005 they released their new mixtape album La Conexión on their homepage . According to the two, this album is " an album for the fans ". It could be downloaded there for free and legally , like their first mixtape album.

Guests on the album are u. a. the reggaetón artists Pitbull , Ivy Queen , Tony Touch , Yaga y Mackie and DJ Kazzanova as well as the band Aventura .

In addition, there was an album for free and legal download on her homepage, on which Nina Sky remixed songs from the eighties.
