Lis Birgitta Magdalena Frost Danielsson (born November 11, 1961 in Fjällsjö ) is a former Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Frost started the cross-country skiing world cup for the first time in the 1985/86 season . On March 13, 1986, she won her first and only World Cup in the 4 x 5 km relay with Carina Görlin , Karin Lamberg-Skog and Annika Dahlman in Oslo . Frost later finished her first season in 38th place in the overall World Cup standings.

At the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , Frost started in the 20 km individual race and finished on the 21st, before running to sixth place with the relay. A short time later, Frost became the Swedish season champion together with Marie-Helene Westin and Eva Korpela . The following season, 1988/89 , was their most successful season. In Klingenthal she achieved her best individual result in a World Cup with fifth place over 30 km in free style. At the end of the season, she finished 33rd. Previously, she had at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1989 in Finland's Lahti km 28th place on 10 and 20 km is on the 20th Two years later, she completed her most successful world championships in Val di Fiemme . As tenth in the singles and sixth in the relay, she achieved good top 10 results.

At her second Olympic Winter Games in 1992 in Albertville , she was no longer part of the relay compared to 1988 and only started over 15 and 30 km in the individual races. With places 31 and 47, however, she only took places in the back field.

In Lillehammer Frost managed again a 28th place over 30 km at her third and last Winter Olympics in 1994 .

In her last World Cup season in 1996/97 , Frost was unable to win any World Cup points, as in the previous two years. After the season she ended her active career.
