Karin Ingrid Lamberg-Skog (born January 17, 1961 in Uppsala ) is a former Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Lamberg-Skog, who competed for Hagunda IF and IFK Mora , finished 17th at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid over 5 km and over 10 km, and sixth in the relay, and won the 1980 Junior World Championships in Örnsköldsvik the bronze medal with the relay. She made her debut in the World Cup in January 1982 in Klingenthal and achieved 13th place over 10 km. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1982 , she was sixth with the relay. Two years later she came in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo on 18th place over 10 km, 16th place over 5 km and fifth place with the relay. In the 1984/85 season she reached her first top ten placements in the individual World Cup with eighth place over 5 km in Nové Město and sixth place over 10 km in Klingenthal. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1985 in Seefeld in Tirol , she finished 18th over 10 km. In March 1985 she was in Falun and in Oslo second with the relay and won 19th place in the overall World Cup at the end of the season. In the following season, she came in three individual starts in the World Cup twice under the top ten and at the end of the season reached 18th place in the overall World Cup. In March 1986 she won in Oslo with the relay. She had her greatest success the following year at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1987 in Oberstdorf . There she won the bronze medal with the relay. In the 1987/88 season she achieved two top ten results in the individual World Cup. With the fifth place in the 10 km freestyle in Rovaniemi, she achieved her best individual placement in the World Cup. At the season highlight, the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , she finished 22nd over 20 km freestyle and sixth place with the relay. She finished the season in 25th place in the overall World Cup. In her last active season in 1988/89 she came in 16th place at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1989 in Lahti over 15 km classic and over 30 km freestyle. In March 1989 she was third in the relay at the World Cup in Falun. In 1986 she won the Swedish championships over 20 km. With the season of IFK Mora she was Swedish champion in 1982 and 1985.
