Rudolf Stucken

Rudolf Stucken (born March 17, 1891 in Hamburg , † October 26, 1984 in Bad Soden am Taunus ) was a German economist .

Life

Family and education

The Evangelical baptized, born in Hamburg, Rudolf stuccoes, son of businessman William stuccoes and his spouse Anna born Telge, studied after high school political science and engineering at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich , the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg , the Friedrich-Wilhelms University of Berlin and the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel , where he was awarded a Dr. sc. pol. received his doctorate.

Rudolf Stucken married Marianne nee Grothe in 1923. The sons Dieter and Harald came from this marriage. He died in November 1984 at the age of 94 in Bad Soden am Taunus.

Professional background

Rudolf Stucken took over the management of the news office of the Free and Hanseatic City of Lübeck in early 1921 , which he held until the end of 1923. In the following year he completed his habilitation as a private lecturer for political economics at the University of Kiel, in 1927 he was appointed extraordinary professor of economics, finance and statistics at the University of Erlangen . In 1933 he moved to the Friedrich Schiller University Jena as full professor of economics and social sciences , in 1935 he moved to the University of Hamburg in the same position , in 1939 he returned to the University of Erlangen as a full professor of economics and finance, and in 1958 he became retired .

The 1961 winner of the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany stood out in particular for his treatises on the subjects of money and credit, business theory and finance.
