Lisa Lambe (born August 1, 1983 in Dublin ) is an Irish singer and former member of the group Celtic Woman . In her career she has had roles in musicals, films, as well as television and radio appearances.

Previous career

Lisa Lambe started acting at the age of three. She received her Bachelor of Acting Studies from Trinity College Dublin. Lambe has played many leading roles in several theater productions in Ireland, the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe. She was a soloist on Ireland's RTÉ Concert Orchestra and Ireland's popular TV show The Late Late Show . Under the direction of RTÉ , she worked with other musicians such as Shay Healy and Frank McNamara .

Lisa Lambe has sung in The Shaughraun , conducted by John McColgan and directed by David Downes ( Abbey Theater ), The Wiremen by Shay Healy ( The Gaiety Theater ) and Sweeney Todd ( Gate Theater ). For her leading role in Rough Magic's musical Improbable Frequency , with which she appeared at the Edinburgh Theater Festival in Toruń ( Poland ) and Dublin , she was nominated for the Irish Times Theater Awards in the category "Best Actress".

Celtic woman

After the Songs from the Heart tour of Celtic Woman in November 2010 gave Lynn Hilary announced that it would leave the group and return to Ireland. It was later announced that Lisa Lambe would be part of the cast from the 2011 tour. On the group's official website, she said she was delighted to be a part of Celtic Woman. It is a privilege to be a part of this fantastic show and she hopes it will be an incredible experience.

Filmography and theater roles

Lisa played the role of Sorcha in Ross O Carroll Kelly's The Last Days of the Celtic Tiger for the Landmark production company . She has also appeared in many Irish theaters such as the Gate Theater and the Abbey Theater.

She appeared in the TV shows StoryLane (The Den), Olive (TG4), Bachelor's Walk , Legend (RTÉ) and Eye to Eye . She also had radio appearances in Ross O 'Carroll Kelly's The Twelve Days of Christmas , The Power of Darkness (John Mc Gahern), The King with Horses Ears (RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Conor and Fergus Linehan) and Grace - a musical .

Private

On September 16, 2012 Lambe married the singer Simon Morgan in the Villa Muggia in Stresa .

During the Celtic Woman's Believe tour, Lambe plays the spoons , not only in the song "Téir Abhaile Riú" but also in her version of "Dúlamán". She is the second person next to percussionist Raymond "Ray" Fean to play the spoons for Celtic Woman. Fean plays the spoons on the 2004 album Celtic Woman .
