Lise Bourdin (born November 30, 1925 in Néris-les-Bains ) is a French actress who began her career as a model .

Life

Lise Bourdin was born in 1925 in Néris-les-Bains in the Allier department . In the 1940s she began a career as a model and was featured in several French fashion magazines. In August 1946 she was discovered by a film producer who then invited her to a casting in Paris .

In 1947 Bourdin went on a promotional tour of Brazil . In April 1948 she traveled through the United States under the direction of the state American Aid to France and American Overseas Aid , where she performed interviews, stage and radio appearances as Miss Arch of Triumph . Bourdin also continued to work as a model and also appeared in April 1948 as a jury member in a charity fashion show for the Crusade for Children benefit event . In June 1948 she finally returned to Paris.

During a fashion shoot in New York in December 1948, Bourdin was described by the press as the most photographed girl in France . She charged at least $ 25 an hour for her work. This was the highest price any model would ask in the United States at the time.

In 1949 Bourdin received her first small film role in Scandal on the Champs-Elysees , which was not named in the credits. She played her first major role in 1953 in Children of Love . Bourdin's best-known film appearances include her role as Madame X in Billy Wilder's Ariane - Love in the Afternoon from 1957. Bourdin also played supporting roles in Morphine, Mord und Kesse Motten and in the German music film And evenings in the Scala , both of which also appeared in 1957 . In 1959 she ended her career as an actress.

Lise Bourdin was married to the Brazilian businessman Roberto Seabra from 1963 to 1965. The marriage ended in divorce. Since 1974 she was the life partner of the French politician Raymond Marcellin . The relationship lasted until Marcellin's death in 2004. Lise Bourdin now lives in Paris.
