Lise Van Hecke (born July 1, 1992 in Sint-Niklaas , Belgium ) is a Belgian volleyball player .

Career as a club player

Van Hecke began her career in the senior division at Asterix Kieldrecht in the Belgian first division. With this club, she won the championship and cup double in Belgium in 2010 and 2011, before she ventured abroad at the age of 19 and moved to the Italian first division club Robur Tiboni Urbino . In 2013, after a season in which she was best scorer, best diagonal attacker and MVP , Van Hecke moved within Serie A to top club River Volley Piacenza , with whom she also won the double in 2014. After one season in Brazil (at Osasco Voleibol Clube ) and Turkey (volleyball department of Beşiktaş Istanbul ), she returned to Italy in 2017 and joined Volley Pesaro . Van Hecke signed in Cuneo in 2018 and has been there ever since.

National team

Van Hecke played in all of Belgium's youth teams and celebrated the European championship title with the U18 national team in 2009, while she and her team took third place at the World Cup that was held in the same year. At the U20 World Cup in 2011 , she finished 8th with her team. Since 2011 she has also been a member of the senior national team . In 2013 she was a member of the team that celebrated the biggest success of the Belgian national volleyball team to date with third place at the European Championships and was also the tournament's best scorer.

In January 2018, Van Hecke announced that he would be off for a year with the national team. Since 2019 she has been a member of the squad again.
