Lisl Richter-Perkaus

Lisl Richter-Perkaus , b. Perkaus (born May 24, 1905 , † January 27, 1987 ) was an Austrian athlete who was one of the most outstanding athletes in her country in the 1920s and 1930s. She set several world records and world bests in the shot put and discus throw , took part in the 1928 Olympic Games and won a bronze medal at the 1930 Women's World Games .

Life

She started in a total of ten athletics disciplines, in addition to the shot put and discus throw, also in the 100 and 200-meter run , in the 4-by-100-meter , the 4-by-200-meter and the Olympic relay , in the javelin and in pentathlon . She set up 20 Austrian best performances and was Austrian champion 25 times.

Lisl Richter-Perkaus belonged to the sports clubs FAC and Danubia.

Several of their descendants also became well-known personalities in Austrian sports. Her son, Professor Erwin Richter, became a successful swimming coach. His daughter, Anja Libiseller-Richter , took fourth place in water jumping at the 2000 Olympic Games (discipline: duo jumping).
