Matteo Contini (born April 16, 1980 in Gemonio ) is an Italian football player . He has spent a large part of his professional career so far in Italy.
Career
From July 2007 to January 2010 Contini played as defender for Napoli in Serie A .
On January 27, 2010, the SSC Napoli announced the loan of the defender to the Spanish club Real Saragossa until the end of the season . The Spaniards were also guaranteed a purchase option. In his second game for Zaragoza, he scored his first goal in the Primera División and thus contributed to the 2-1 win against Sevilla FC . After the loan period expired, the Aragonese club took up their option and secured the services of the Italian for 2.3 million euros, who signed a three-year contract.
Despite his 24 appearances in the league, he was awarded for one year to the Italian first division club AC Siena in the summer of 2011 before he officially moved to Tuscany for the 2012/13 season. After only one season he went to Atalanta Bergamo , where he was loaned to FC Bari in 1908 after only three missions to the second division club SS Juve Stabia and after its relegation for two seasons . In the 2016/17 season he played on loan for the second division Ternana Unicusano Calcio and then moved to the third division Carrarese Calcio , where he was only under contract for a month and was not used. In September 2017, the fourth division US Pergolettese 1932 announced the commitment of Continis.
