Liselotte Schmidt

Liselotte Schmidt , also Lisl Schmidt , married Grinzinger (* around 1925 ) is an Austrian singer (soprano) and actress .

Life

Liselotte Schmidt was particularly successful as an operetta singer . She worked at the Landestheater Linz and made numerous radio and recordings between the 1950s and 1970s, for example with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester under conductor Werner Schmidt-Boelcke or the Bruckner Orchester Linz under Herbert Mogg . She sang with interpreters such as Rudolf Schock and, in addition to well-known operettas, also works by composers such as Ludwig Schmidseder and Igo Hofstetter .

Schmidt also played alongside her husband Hubert Mann from 1945 in the Städtische Kammerspiele in Linz founded together with Franz Pühringer and Veit Relin - which no longer exist today. Schmidt also worked with Hubert Mann and Haymo Pockberger at ORF as a speaker for radio plays.

Daughter Franziska Grinzinger and granddaughter Katharina Straßer also became actresses. Schmidt lives in Linz .
