List of architectural monuments in Drachhausen

The list of architectural monuments in Drachhausen lists all of the architectural monuments of the Brandenburg municipality of Drachhausen . The basis is the publication of the state monument list as of December 31, 2019. The ground monuments are listed in the list of ground monuments in Drachhausen .

Drachhausen (Hochoza)

The village is located about 15 kilometers north of the city of Cottbus and 18 kilometers south of the municipality of Lieberose . Even today the place is bilingual.

War memorial The war memorial was erected in the 1920s. The memorial commemorates the fallen soldiers of the First World War from Drachhausen. A two-part obelisk is located on a pedestal with steps. On the obelisk there is a golden ball and an eagle with outspread wings. On the lower part of the obelisk there are panels with inscriptions of the fallen on all four sides.

Fire station The Drachhausen Volunteer Fire Brigade was founded in 1906 and used this fire station from the 1920s until 1994. It is a single-storey building with a gable roof, the hose tower has been pulled into the roof. A western annex was added in the 1960.

Rectory with farm buildings The homestead was built in 1860. From 1999 the homestead was renovated. The house is a single-storey building with a gable roof. The house was built from brick and is unplastered. The high base is made of split field stones. A stable building and a drive-through barn belong to the homestead. The stable building is a single-storey building with a gable roof. The stable was built from split field stone. The gable is made of brick and shows three arched windows. The drive-through barn looks similar to the stable building.

Village church The Protestant church was built from brick in the years 1894/1895. It is a neo-Romanesque building made of red brick. The interior furnishings are from the construction period and have been completely preserved.

school The school was built in 1895. In 1896 237 children learned here. There were eight classes in the school until the 1960s. It is a gable-free, two-story building. Today the school is used as a residential building.

barn The barn was built in the second half of the 19th century and was part of a homestead. The barn was built from brick, the barn was not plastered. It is a drive-through barn measuring 13 × 8 meters and has a gable roof. The gates on the north and south sides are centrally located and have two wings. On the side of the doors there are two flat arch wall fields.

Common grave for three fallen Red Army soldiers The community grave was laid out in 1945. There are three unknown Red Army soldiers lying here. The grave site consists of an obelisk with an inscription, and there is a small fence around the grave site. There is a red Soviet star on the obelisk.
