Main Church (Kreuzkirche) The Kreuzkirche was probably built in the 2nd half of the 15th century. However, there are older components, so the tower probably dates from the beginning of the 14th century. The late Gothic church with three naves was not damaged in World War II. Inside there is an altarpiece from 1660. The pulpit was built in around 1730/1735.

Castle and moat Spremberg Castle was originally a Romanesque moated castle, later the building was expanded into an early Baroque complex under the Dukes of Saxony-Merseburg, especially Duke Heinrich. After the Merseburg secondary school died out and the castle was taken over by the Electorate of Saxony in 1738, it served administrative purposes until 1997.
