[1] Both units of the class had been shut down since 1949/50 and were in reserve. They were not reactivated until they were finally deleted in 1961 or 1970.

- CL - Light Cruiser ( light cruiser )
- CLAA - Antiaircraft Cruiser (anti-aircraft cruiser )
- CB - Cruiser Big (large cruiser, similar to a battle cruiser )
- CAG - Guided Missile Heavy Cruiser (Heavy missile cruiser ) to 1975
- CLG - Guided Missile Light Cruiser (Light Guided Missile Cruiser ) until 1975
- CLGN - Guided Missile Light Cruiser (Nuclear-Propulsion ), until 1975
- CGN - Guided Missile Cruiser (Nuclear-Propulsion) (nuclear-powered guided missile cruiser )
- CG - Guided Missile Cruise ( guided missile cruiser )
- DLG - Guided Missile Frigate ( guided missile frigate ), until 1975
